My new view

So, I'm really really really excited about our new backyard. Its pretty roomy, and has lots of shade. It has a high fence, and has a secluded, private "feel" about it. HOLLA.

One of two rose bushes in my front yard that NEED some TLC.
Part of my patio in the back yard, isn't it cute?

We have a BLACKBERRY tree in the corner of our new backyard. I'm so freaking excited about this, I can't wait to pick them and make yummy jams, and pies.

A big white oak tree thats kinda-sorta in the middle of the backyard. Tons of shade

Our awesome high wooden fence with lots of ivy. :)

It also has part of the neighbor's willow tree hanging over. <3

I'm really excited about the different tree I have now (I'm a dork.) There is a tree in the front yard too that I haven't identified yet. Looks like a mimosa, not sure yet.
I can't wait to start gardening! The front of the house get total direct sunlight most of the day, and the back gets indirect/shady light. Gotta figure out what to plant.

I think a row of sunflowers in front of the house would be really cute and happy.

  6. I always have loved the idea of a moon garden. Since you get shade in the backyard, that would be the best place to have it.

  7. I can't wait to have  garden. I promise I'll plant some turnips soon! I'm not sure if it is a mimosa yet, it doesn't have any flowers on it ... so I have to take a closer look this weekend.

  9. We had two Mimosa trees in our yard in NYC so I am partial to them.  Grandpa has some growing at his house and I keep meaning to get one or two to plant here.  Is your blackberry a big bush or really a tree?  If it's a tree it may be a mulberry tree.  (I don't think blackberries actually grow into trees.)  Mulberries are awesome and you can do everything with them you would do to any other berry.  Yummy summer days ahead.
