Blah blah blah

So I'm awake at 1 am on my 12th day of being overdue. Man. I feel like crap.

I'm so nauseous right now. For no reason. It came out of no where, and it's lingering. Sometimes it comes in these intense waves. And of course sleep is pretty much impossible at this stage. (didnt get to sleep till 4 am last night) So I'm just a lump in bed, a big fat walrus.

I only have 2 days till my inducement, and I CANNOT WAIT. I was really hoping labor would happen this weekend. But not one contraction.

And man, my body just plain ole hurts. Like my knees and joints. Haha I know it sounds crazy, but I really think it's this extra weight that's making them hurt.

AND OH! When Quentin kicks now, I wanna cry. Or when he shoves his little foot under my rib!!!

Sorry guys, for all the whining. I just really want it to be over. I mean, look at how puffy and swollen my face is getting! Ah. Just a few more days.

Happy note. It's been raining for days now, and I'm loving all these little mushrooms that are popping up around my house. So cute!

  1. That little guy just is pretty comfortable where he is, huh! I won't say to get your rest while you can because obviously you're not getting any rest. But I will say that just think-in a couple of days (or sooner) your world will change forever. Try to appreciate these last couple of days that its only you and hubby and the simpleness of life at the moment.

And...I can't wait to see the little man!

  2. Is there a swimming pool near you? Perhaps that would help for a hour or two?
Your mushroom stool things are so magical!  I wish we can sit on them :)

  4. Ohhh he's working on it. I've read so many midwifery books and such that talk about nausea being a sign of oncoming labor, but obviously I'm no expert. Here's hoping he comes soon!

  6. Um I would NOT call this whining! I'd be wayyy worse! My dude came a day early and I was ready wayyy before that! Just remember; it's worth it. All the shit is worth it. The wait... Seeing his face and hearing him and holding him will totally make up for this miserable time. I'm so flippin' excited!

  7. The nausea could be a sign your body is preparing for labor! Best of luck Sam. One way or another, the end is near!!!!

  9. You are not crazy! The pain is more than likely caused by the water retention, weight gain, etc. You're amazing for hanging in there through this :)

  10. Hmm. I'd like to give you words of encouragement, but I would be in an awful mood if I were in your shoes. One thing: after Quentin comes you will lose like 20 pounds in two days. That's pretty cool, right? And you'll look at your (non-swollen) ankles and say, "Hey! I remember you!"

I TOTALLY hear you!  I remember starting to contract, going to bed, hoping it would happen some time overnight, only to wake up with nothing.  I got SO mad - I cried.  You'll make it - promise.  But...this part does suck.  The waiting.  The being uncomfortable.  It's Wednesday now, so I'm hoping you have your little guy with you now!
