40 wks

It's official. I'm 40 weeks pregnant today. Kinda bummed in a way. I know today is THE DAY I've had marked on the calendar since January, but I know I'm not having a baby today.

Michael says I can't know for sure, but I do. I can't explain it. I know. I know I'm not having a baby today and that makes me kinda sad. It's surreal knowing that I am at the end of my pregnancy, but at the same time, it feels like so far away. I just wish that there would be a sure sign when you go into labor. Like you wake up and there is a blue dot on your forehead. If only. This guessing game isn't fun.

My poor family. I've been grumpy lately. I have no tolerance anymore. My body aches in ways I didn't think were possible. And sleep is almost impossible at night. Ah! Its almost overrrrr!!!

  1. The first time I went into labor, I woke up in the middle of the night thinking my stomach hurt because I had food poisoning.  Crazy!  It's a little bizarre to long for something and not know exactly what you're longing for.

  6. Bless your heart! They took Gianna at 38 weeks and I begged them to take her at 37! I can't imagine having actually gone to 40 weeks, I would have been SO grumpy and ugly. My back hurt SO bad when I was pregnant. I hated being pregnant more then anything, guess that's why I jumped at getting my tubes tied!

  9. A guy at work told me that everyone keeps telling him and his wife that a first baby is always late. Could be true in your case?

  10. I was thinking about you a few days ago!  I got super disappointed when my due date came and went without incident.  But...hang in there!  All this waiting and anxiety will be worth it once you have Q in your arms.  I predict you'll deliver 9/22.
